What payment methods do we accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, leading digital wallets, and Shop Pay Installments for premium purchases. Available methods at checkout depend on your location, device, and order total.

How your card data is handled
Battlix's payment processing is handled by Shopify Payments — the integrated payment platform used by hundreds of thousands of Shopify-powered stores worldwide. Card data is processed by Shopify and its underlying infrastructure (Stripe), routed through systems certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest tier of payment-card security.
What this means for you
- Your full card number and CVV are never stored on Battlix's servers
- Payments are processed over TLS-encrypted connections
- Your transaction runs through the same infrastructure that secures Shopify's largest merchants
- 3D Secure (Verified by Visa, Mastercard SecureCode) is used wherever your bank supports it

When you're charged and in what currency
When payment is captured
Payment is authorized and captured at the time you place your order — not at the time your order ships. The charge appears on your statement immediately, the funds are committed when the order is placed, and if you cancel before shipment, the refund process begins right away.
Currency
Prices on battlix.com are displayed in US Dollars (USD) unless your browser settings cause Shopify to display a converted local currency. The currency you're charged in is always USD; your bank or card issuer handles the conversion using their own exchange rate. If you're paying with a non-USD card, your bank may also apply a foreign transaction fee — typically 1–3%, depending on your card. Battlix does not receive any portion of that fee.
How would I split a saber over time?
Battlix sabers range from accessible entry hilts to flagship Proffie builds. For larger purchases, Shop Pay Installments lets you spread the cost without paying interest on the standard plan.
Select Shop Pay at checkout. If your order qualifies, you'll see the option to split it into 4 interest-free payments every two weeks. For larger orders, longer-term monthly financing is available with rates and terms disclosed at checkout before you commit.
What happens if my payment doesn't go through?
If your payment is declined at checkout, your order is not placed and no charge is captured. The most common reasons:
- Billing address doesn't match the address on file with your bank (AVS check)
- Insufficient funds or available credit
- CVV (the 3- or 4-digit code on the back of the card) entered incorrectly
- 3D Secure verification not completed
- Card expired
- Bank flagged the transaction as unusual — often for first-time international purchases
If you see a "pending" charge on your statement after a declined order, that's a temporary authorization your bank will release — typically within 1–7 business days. Battlix has not received those funds.

Sales tax & duties
Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping destination. We collect sales tax in states where Battlix has a tax obligation; Shopify calculates and displays the applicable rate on the checkout page before you complete payment.
International orders do not include US sales tax, but may be subject to customs duties and import taxes at delivery — these are the customer's responsibility. See our Shipping & Delivery Policy for more on international duties.
Why some orders take longer
For your protection and ours, Shopify Payments runs each transaction through automated fraud screening. Most orders pass through invisibly. Occasionally, an order may be:
- Held for manual review — we'll email you if we need additional verification
- Declined automatically — your card issuer or Shopify's fraud filter determined the transaction was high-risk
If your order is held for review, the most common reasons are mismatched billing/shipping addresses (often the case for gift orders), a first-time customer making a high-value purchase, or unusual purchase patterns. A quick email confirming the order details usually resolves it within one business day.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders we believe may be fraudulent. Any payment captured on a declined order is refunded immediately.
How refunds are issued
Refund eligibility is governed by our Returns & Exchange Policy. When a refund is approved:
- We issue it within 2 business days of approval
- It's refunded to the original payment method used at checkout
- Typical bank/card processing adds 5–10 business days for the funds to appear on your statement
If you paid via Shop Pay Installments, the refund is first applied to your remaining installments, then to any installments already paid. If you've completed all payments, the full refund is returned to your card or bank.
If you don't recognize a charge
If you have a problem with a charge or see a transaction you don't recognize, please contact us before filing a chargeback. We can almost always resolve payment issues, missing items, or unfamiliar charges faster and more completely than the bank dispute process can.

Check the statement descriptor
Charges from us appear as "BATTLIX" or "SP * BATTLIX" on your statement. Many "unfamiliar" charges turn out to be real orders placed by a household member or forgotten purchases.

Email us with your order number
Send a note to contact@battlix.com describing what you're seeing. We can usually identify the order and resolve the issue within one business day.

If unresolved, then dispute
If we can't resolve the issue, of course you retain your right to dispute with your bank. But chargebacks filed without contacting us first can take 30–90 days to resolve through the bank and may result in us refusing future orders from the disputing account.
